Advanced Manufacturing & Power Systems creating 48 jobs in Abbeville
ABBEVILLE, S.C. — Advanced Manufacturing & Power Systems is establishing its first South Carolina operations in Abbeville County. The manufacturer of high-quality generator enclosures is investing $2.3 million in the project and creating 48 new jobs in Abbeville over the next five years.
Established in 1999 and headquartered in Florida, AMPS is a specialty severe power systems integrator, servicing the power generation industry. The company was the first, and is still one of only two, State of Florida-certified, high velocity hurricane zone-rated manufacturers.
In an effort to better serve its growing customer-base, AMPS is leasing space inside the Abbeville County Business Incubator at Lakelands Commerce Center. The plant is expected to be fully operational by January. Those interested in joining the AMPS team should visit the company’s employment page.
